LTL, Volume or Truckload?
Enter weight and linear feet to see which service band your shipment falls in — so you request the right quote instead of overpaying for standard LTL on freight that qualifies for volume.

The three bands
| Band | When |
|---|---|
| Standard LTL | Under 2,500 lbs and under 7 linear feet. |
| Volume LTL | 2,500–44,000 lbs, or 7+ linear feet. |
| Truckload | Over 44,000 lbs — a full trailer, priced its own way. |
Volume pricing is negotiated per shipment and often beats the standard LTL tariff for the same freight — which is why knowing your band before you call is worth real money. Thresholds shown are FedEx Freight Volume Services; other carriers are close.
