Pallet Calculator (TI-HI)
How many cartons fit on a pallet: TI (cartons per layer) × HI (layers high). It tries both carton orientations and keeps the one that fits more per layer.

What TI and HI mean
TI (from the Spanish "tier") is how many cartons fit in one layer on the pallet deck. HI is how many layers stack up to the height limit. Total cartons per pallet is simply TI × HI. Warehouses call the pattern the "TI-HI".
This tool counts a plain grid — the cartons laid in rows, the better of the two orientations. Real pallets sometimes use a pinwheel or column pattern to fit one or two more; the full FreightPrep calculator lets you override the per-layer count and shows the 3D build.
From TI-HI to a real freight quote
A pallet count is the start. FreightPrep takes it further: weight per pallet, NMFC freight class by density, linear feet, and a copy-ready LTL summary for FedEx Freight and other carriers — free, in your browser.
